Pia Schmid (Swiss) is the architect of M/Y Alyssa. Arch. Pia specializes in hotel architecture and design. She is well-known and renowned across Europe for her talent and several projects. The idea she adopted for M/Y Alyssa is centered on color harmony, the ship's local environment, and the use of handcrafted materials. Working on M/Y Alyssa, we took an environmentally sustainable mentality. All designs, furnishings, upholstery, and cabin layouts have been custom made for M/Y Alyssa rather than from a catalogue, including the many pure woolen carpets designed for different positions on the ship to improve the overall appearance.
Exclusivity: Unlike most cruise ships on the Nile, the M/Y Alyssa is unique in that all designs, layouts, and furniture on board are custom-made for the ship. Every unique facility has been made available on board M/Y Alyssa, which is located at the front of the ship on the fourth deck; a fully panoramic wellness center equipped with the latest and most advanced equipment and offering: a mud bath, a sauna, a jacuzzi, and a multi-purpose gym, including a bicycle, rowing machine, treadmill, and multi-purpose machine.
